Engine identification

Given sufficient notice we may be able to trace your engine from the original factory registers. This would give you the original configuration ex factory, date of dispatch and the customer. The Registers are fairly complete and accurate for the petrol units. Morris motors produced engines from 1930 through to 1970 in petrol TVO and diesel forms.
It should be realised that the marine engines were all Industrial and Marine Production stock from the Coventry engine plant and were not converted car engines. Therefore subtle variations exist on the internal dimensions and fittings. It is possible to convert the car units for the marine versions.
